Anyone have one? Any favorite flavors?

I think it's so cool that it can be used on Shabbos.

Gas runs out much too quickly, is expensive to replace and I hate having to use their bottles...

Now if they made an affordable household soda fountain that could fill regular bottles, that would really be something!

I don't have one, but word on the street is the flavors mostly suck.

my parents love theirs. they like a lot of the flavors too, but mostly use it for seltzer, they also like to experiment withvtheir own flavoring. sometimes the results are awful. they do use it shabbat and yt.

Their cola plus some grenadine is OK.

Also, you can buy Coke syrup at Sam's Club, or so I'm told.

Just coming in to add that I tried lots of their flavors and I think their cola is decent, their cherry cola is OK. Their Mountain Dew is passable. The ones that actually taste better than OK without an aftertaste is their Sprite, ginger-ale and orange soda.

Even the "bad" ones are OK once you get used to it. When I drink regular Mountain Dew it tastes funny to me.

Regular soda generally tastes bad if you haven't had it for a while.

Right, so once you get used to Sodastream, even the "bad" tasting ones should be fine.

I keep having the problem when I buy the Throwback of Pepsi and then switch.

(Yet more First World problems.)

I'm really enjoying the diet dr. pepper as well as their diet sprite. The one peach iced-tea I've had is so so.

I don't like the idea that you can't refill the tanks yourself. There are less expensive options.

You could refill them yourself if you feel like taking the time out and playing around with the canister.

The reason why you can't refill it yourself is because technically the canisters belong to SodaStream.

The reason you can't refill them yourself is because Sodastream engineered the valves so that you can't. The point is that they can charge outrageous prices to refill the canisters.  Modifying it takes a lot of skill. You can use the Sodamod valve to let you use a standard canister with your Sodastream but that costs $57. It's just an inconvenient, expensive proposition.
