Talmudically, cats (שונרי) are immune to snake venom, and, as such, are the primary enemies of snakes. Perhaps שונרא is not a cat, but a mongoose.
" All my life I have tried to pluck a thistle and plant a flower wherever the flower would grow in thought and mind."

A mongoose would make more sense. You should go ahead and answer this riddle, and then pose a new one for the kehilla.

I don't know the answer.
" All my life I have tried to pluck a thistle and plant a flower wherever the flower would grow in thought and mind."

The quote is from neither Pesachim 111 nor  Pesachim 113.

Okay, so it's Rav Papa.

It's ironic that you have led us to Pesacahim 112, because the one thing I memorized long ago was Pesachim 112b, "lo tevashel b'kadeira she'bishel ba chaverecha." (Wisdom from R' Akiva?)
